       Trip to the Fire Station

On Wednesday we went to the Manurewa Fire Station. We had a turn at the hose.  I learnt that we need a smoke alarm and dial 111 if  your home is on fire. They help the people that are stuck in the fire and in an emergency.

My favourite part was when I wet Miss Crook!  I had fun when I wet Miss Crook.

We went to visit the fire station. We squirted the cars and the flowers with the hose. I learnt that firemen uses an oxygen tank.  the fire truck has a long ladder on it.  they help us by saving us from fires.  My favourite part was driving on the bus.

 We went to the fire station.  I looked at the fire engine.  I had a turn on the hose.

The fan blows all of the smoke away. They have a big water tank in the fire truck. They help us by putting out the fire. They also use foam. They said we can get water under the road from the yellow squares.I had fun at the fire station.

Room 2 went to the Fire Station on Wednesday.  We listened to the fire man Glen.  Learnt  that  its very  important           

to have a fire alarm and dial 111 when the fire starts.  The firemen put the fire out.  My favourite part was when I played with the hose.

At the fire station we had a turn with hose . I learnt that it is important to have a smoke alarm and when there's a fire we have to get down, get low, and get out and dial one one one in an emergency call.  Fire fighters help us by keeping us safe and helping us out of a fire.  My favourite part was having a turn with the hose.

When  we went to the fire station we made three lines. A fire man then talked to us.

 I learnt how to put out fire by splashing water.  I also learnt how to refill water in the tank when it is al finished. I learnt that fire fighters have special alarms which they can use to let other fire fighters know they are hurt.  Fire fighters carry oxygen masks.  They help us to put out fire and save lives.
